About Stage West

Stage West is a professional theatre company operating under agreement with Actors’ Equity Association, the professional union of theatrical actors and stage managers in the United States. For over 33 years, Stage West has been praised for its excellence, producing 238 shows, including 220 plays and 18 musicals.

Stage West has risen from modest, storefront beginnings to a highly-respected place among American regional theatres. Over the years, the theatre has produced a wide range of works - classic American and world drama, Shakespeare, Shaw, contemporary Broadway plays and musicals, as well as new works by aspiring playwrights, including 12 world premieres.

Stage West's goal is to broaden and intensify the theatrical experience for our patrons with consistently excellent acting, directing and plays. Through this, the company nurtures the artistic growth of area actors, directors, designers, playwrights and musicians.
