Macbeth at Bass Hall

The actors backstage before a performance of Macbeth

During the fall of 2014, Stage West continued its nearly decade long relationship with Bass Performance Hall’s prestigious Children’s Education Program. Since 2007, Stage West has annually taken an abridged classic to the Bass Hall stage where thousands of middle and high school students, free of charge, are bused in to engage in the theatrical experience.

Outreach in Schools

Through generous grant funding and individual donations, Stage West is able to offer outreach programs that impact K-12 area school students.

2014/2015 programs include The Filmmaking Project at Stripling Middle School in the FWISD and The Environmental Awareness Project.

A Kite's Tale

Award-winning, Fort Worth-based playwright, Rob Bosquez, Jr.'s original play tells the tale of a little girl who finds herself racing all around the world when she and her new kite get caught-up in a tornado.

Festival of the Kid

The winning plays from the Neighborhood Play Contest are cast using kids and young adults from the North Central Texas area, and then professionally produced using seasoned designers, directors and actors. Come see the results in May 2015.
