Award-winning, Fort Worth-based playwright, Rob Bosquez, Jr.'s original play tells the tale of a little girl who finds herself racing all around the world when she and her new kite get caught-up in a tornado.
Our three-day festival features Stage West’s top picks for new, unproduced plays submitted to our annual Southwest Playwriting Competition. It features favorite local actors and directors as well as talk-backs with the playwrights after each performance.
The winning plays from the Neighborhood Play Contest are cast using kids and young adults from the North Central Texas area, and then professionally produced using seasoned designers, directors and actors. Come see the results in May 2015.
We accept plays and monologues written by K-12 students!!! Stage West invites all North Central Texas students to share their story for a chance to have their work selected to be brought to life on stage during the next Festival of the Kid!
