Jacque Forsher: With an emphasis in printmaking, I earned a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from PSU in Kansas. My printing experience led me towards the advertising industry, where I have worked previously as an art director, package designer, and since moving to Texas in ’83, as a project manager.
I believe my creative style of bold colors developed early on. When I was a child, my father worked at a tire manufacturing plant. He would occasionally come home from work with the flat orange-red and yellow wax markers which he used to inspect the rubber tires with. The not-quite-crayons ultimately were added to my art tin, which for obvious reasons consisted largely of the colors red and yellow!
Although my color preferences have progressed from those favored dual colors of my childhood, I believe it was my experience with those primary colors that led me to such a bold color pallet today.
