Summer Camps & Summer Conservatory

Register early* for 2018 Summer Camps and Conservatory and we will waive the registration fee! That's up to $50 off! 

Stage West offers a variety of theatre camps as well as the summer conservatory programNow enrolling for summer camps ages 6-18 and Stage West’s Summer Conservatory program ages 14-22. 

As part of the program tuition, each student will receive a commemorative t-shirt, so don't forget to include shirt size on registration. (One per student, per summer.) Once you have completed the registration form, please continue to the online registration system and scroll down to the camp of your choice (or call us to pay by phone). Once you have paid in full your spot is reserved.

Note that there is a registration/costume fee:  $35 per family registration for camps. $50 registration per family for conservatory.

Summer Conservatory 

14-22 yr olds 

July 9 - July 27,  (Mon-Fri 9am-4pm) - Seasoned industry artists lead Summer Conservatory students through the process that produces a theatrical show, including audition preparation technique, and training in areas of acting, scenic design and technical theatre. This fun and well-rounded program culminates in two performances of their show in our Studio theatre. In addition, Conservatory students take part in a professional photo shoot, taking home a disk of agent-ready headshots.    ($550) / $50 Registration Fee

2018 camps:

Ages 6-12 | Aesop's Fables Redux

June 4th-June 15th (M-F 9:30am-12:30pm)  Performance: Friday June 15th at 11:30am. $300
In this two week camp, a witty narrator helps an inquisitive child understand some famous expressions by exploring Aesop's beloved fables. The lessons behind these expressions are playfully illustrated through a series of the well-known stories, and brought to life by a variety of human and animal characters. These classic fables, such as The Boy Who Cried Wolf and The Goose That Laid the Golden Egg, provide a fresh, warm, and fun learning experience.

 Ages 12-18 | Shakespeare Workshop: Hamlet

June 11th-15th (M-F 1:00-4:00) Perfomance: Friday June 15th at 3pm. $175
In this camp we will learn to transform into Shakespearean characters through voice and movement work, develop fundemental acting skills, learn some basic stage combat, and at the end of the week, perform scenes and monologues from Hamlet.

Ages 6-12 | Play Creation Camp: World of Minecraft

June 18th-22nd (M-F 9:30am-12:30pm) Performance: Friday June 22nd at 11:30am $175
 In this fun and interactive workshop, inspired by the World of Minecraft, students will invent their own Minecraft creatures and use them to create a short play! Students will learn staging and create props through art projects in addition to developing their public speaking skills. The week culminates with a performance of the pieces on the Studio Stage.

Ages 12-18 | Improv!

June 18th-29th (M-F 1:00-4:00)  Performance: Friday June 29th at 3pm $300
Time for some improv! This two-week long improvisation intensive training guides students through games and techniques designed to create an original performance in the Studio at Stage West complete with audience interaction/participation. Come See the Stage West Troupe in action!

Ages 6-12 | Broadway Musical Camp 

June 25th-29th (M-F 9:30am-12:30pm) Performance Friday June 29th at 11:30am $175

Students learn musical theatre audition techniques, while performing short scenes and songs from great kid-friendly Broadway Musicals. A selection of show-stopping numbers will be performed at the end of the week on the studio stage.
