Summer Programs

Stage West offers a variety of acting camps as well as our Summer Conservatory program

Discounts are available for multiple students in a family or for multiple classes. 

There is a Summer Registration Fee of $50 in addition to course tuition. Once we receive your registration form, you can continue to the online payment system. Or, we can contact you via phone to finalize your registration. You may pay over the phone with a credit card.

Summer Conservatory 

July 13 - July 31 2015  (Monday-Friday 9:30am-4:30pm) 

An exploratory journey for students that includes training in the areas of acting, singing, dancing, on-camera study, scenic design and technical theatre. Seasoned industry artists lead students through audition preparation technique, monologue work, and song selection. This fun and well-rounded three-week program culminates in a world premiere production, preparing students for the real world of theatre and film. Each participant gets the opportunity to take part in a professional photo shoot, and will take home a complete disk of agent-ready headshots. (Ages 14-22, $550)

Summer Camps

Week 1- June 15-19

Despicable Me: Minions! (7-12 year olds) 10am-12pm ($150) w/Justin Flowers  *SOLD OUT 

They’re back! Join Gru, Lucy, Agnes and lots of Minions for an all-new summer camp adventure. Students will design their own costume pieces, learn through improvisation techniques and perform their very own scripted minion adventure to be showcased in the Stage West Studio at the end of the week.

Filmmaking Workshop: Lets Make a Movie! (9-13 year olds) 1-4pm ($200) w/Justin Flowers 

Lights, camera, action! Join us for a movie making adventure in this weeklong camp that allows students to form their movie ideas into a real short film. With instructor guidance, students will learn about writing, performing, filming, and even editing their very own movie. A short film showcase of student work will be shown in the Stage West Studio at the end of the week.

Week 2- June 22-26

Act a Story: Lego Superheroes  (4-6 year olds) 10am-12pm ($150) w/ Jennie Godfrey *SOLD OUT 

Preschool aged children learn the basics of theatre through this fun and adventurous weeklong camp. Students learn to act out a scripted story onstage dressed as their favorite Lego Movie or Superhero character.

Disney on Broadway: Frozen (7-10 year olds) 1-4pm ($200) w/ Jennie Godfrey 

Does your child sing Frozen songs around the house? This is the perfect camp for them! Students learn musical theatre audition techniques, while forming short scenes and songs using Elsa, Anna, Olaf and more. Several show-stopping numbers will be performed at the end of the week.

Week 3- August 3-7

Play Creation: Into the Woods  (7-12 year olds) 10am-12pm ($150) w/Rob Bosquez 

Characters like Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, and Prince Charming all meet in the woods for their very own unique adventure. Students learn to form a character, and create a play through improvisation techniques, scripted dialogue, and light musical elements for a staged performance at the end of the week in the Stage West Studio.

Improv Insanity (9-13 year olds) 1-4pm ($200) w/Rob Bosquez 

The end of the summer is near. Time for some improv! Students will work through improv games and techniques to create an original improved performance by the end of the week in the Stage West Studio complete with audience interaction/participation.
