In the Education Department at Stage West, we are inspired by the same commitment to excellence which guides our theatrical productions. We nurture artistic growth for adults and kids in a safe environment in which to explore.
Summertime features youth theatre camps for ages 5-12, led by some of DFW’s top teaching artists with decades of theatre education experience under their belts. With full- and half-day options available, campers can experience various aspects of theatre such as musical theatre, puppetry, or stage acting. Each camp ends in a showcase for friends and family.
Creative discovery in a fun and safe environment! Kids develop theatre skills, improved communication and self-esteem through the exploration of imagination.
Our concentrated Teens programming features individualized and accessible theatre arts training from the area's highest-caliber professionals.
This year we received about 576 submissions to the Neighborhood Play Contest 2021 from 23 schools. Here are the Winners, whose submissions will be performed at the 2022 Festival of the Kid.
