What To Give
- Cash
Making a cash donation, writing a check, or giving by credit/debit card is one of the most impactful ways to give to Stage West. Monthly and annually scheduled gifts make even more of a long-term impact. You can also make a donation in memory of a loved one by adding their name to the donation. - Securities
These include appreciated stocks, bonds or mutual funds. Securities which have increased in value are beneficial assets for charitable giving. - Retirement Plan Assets
Retirement plan assets are among the best assets to use for charitable gifts because if these assets are left to your heirs, they could eventually be taxed at a higher rate. - Life Insurance
Donating Life Insurance Policies is a wonderful way to leave a legacy of supporting live, local theatre. If Stage West is made a beneficiary of an existing policy, it is a simple way of using your resources to expand your ability to make a significant gift.
Some Ways To Give
- A Gift Through Your Will or Trust
A bequest is a gift made through your will or trust. It is one of the easiest ways to give. You can include Stage West in your will or trust by using the following bequest example:
“I hereby give and bequeath to Stage West Theatre, incorporated as Allied Theatre Group Inc., a not-for-profit corporation in Fort Worth, Texas, (specific amount, percentage of estate, or specific property) for general purposes.” - Charitable Remainder Trusts
A Charitable Remainder Trust allows you to put assets into a separately managed trust that will provide you with income for life or for a specific number of years. If you establish such a trust to benefit Stage West, the trust assets will be distributed to the theatre at the end of the term. - Donor Advised Funds
Donor Advised Funds are an easy and flexible way to support Stage West. You can contribute to the fund as frequently as you wish. Immediate tax benefits are received and grants can be recommended to your favorite nonprofit organizations.
